Dealing with the ups and downs of business

Wow! What a busy month. So much learning and growing and working hard. Some of you might be aware that I am pregnant and this makes things a bit more emotional for me than I would like. However, I am coming to understand why it is ALOT easier to stay in one's comfort zone. I found a fantastic quote that I want to share with everyone. “Some will. Some won’t. So what? Someone’s waiting!” It means that some people are going to love what you do. Then, there will be those who visit your blog, look at your paintings, listen to your songs, read your poems, review your resume – and they’ll shrug and say, “Yea, not so much.” So what? Somewhere out there someone is waiting for your gift. And if you have to keep working on your craft, or wait a little while, that’s okay!" http://christinekane.com/blog/how-to-not-take-things-personally-a-practical-guide/ Bad reviews are hard and although there is much that can be learned from them (which I appreciate) it is very hard not to defend all the things that you do or explain things away. (Example: Yes...if I had all the money that I needed than my sets wouldn't be so flimsy...you should have seen our sets last year.) Thing is...the general public doesn't know or care about what is going on "behind the scenes." So...as I continue to grow my thick skin....I hope that you all can find joy in what you do and we can grow together.
