January 21st
3pm
4424 West Cortney Drive, West Valley City
North High School was closed down 15 years ago after the graduating class of 1997. The city council has decided to demolish the old building, but the former students of North High won't stand for it. They have decided to make their 15 year reunion double as a "Save North High" Fundraising Event. Old High School flames reunite and jealous rivalries return as we welcome you back to the longest 3 years of your life... High School!
Characters: All Characters 20-35 (with the exception of the Jack Football player who may be older and was held back...)
Brittany (Former Cheerleader) but now is a soccer Mom, chairwoman of the reunion committee and avid Scentsy Consultant. She is married to Brent.
Brent (Former Class President) but now stocks Vending Machines. He is personable but can't remember anyone's name. The bad economy caused his previously successful roofing business to go under.
Greg (Former AV Geek) He now owns a Fortune 500 company called CompuStar. He never married. He in more unassuming and understated that out and out geeky.
Angie (Former Debate Champion) She is working her way through law school as a law clerk and is also on the city council. She is smart and cynical. She married right out of high school but is now divorced.
Jack (Former Football Star) He owns his own successful plumbing company. He is dumb but with a heart of gold. He views the reunion as a chance to relive the "glory" days. He is married.
Jack's Wife (Homeschooled) She didn't attend North High. She is an insurance fraud investigator and is married to Jack. She loves Jack but is a very mothering wife. She feels quite out of place. No one ever bothers to find out her actual name.
Auditions will start at 3 PM. Please come prepared to do a cold reading and sing 16 bars. We will be providing a song to download and learn for auditions as well (click here to download). It is a duet for a man and a woman and we need to see how well you can pick up and learn music taught this way. (This show will NOT have sheet music.)
We pay 3% of the house profits per actor. Rehearsals are based around actors schedules. The show will run selected weekends in March, April and May. We will be performing at Famous Daves (West Jordan), Stockmen's Steakhouse (West Valley City) and Diamond Lil's (Salt Lake City).
We are also in negotiation with a place in Ogden but will have separate auditions for that location.
